We couldn't go without the guarantees of Encon for our PV-project. (Jos Vaessen)

With 40,000 m² of solar panels, Vaessen Industries has become one of the biggest producers of solar energy in our country in one step. Vaessen Industries has placed no fewer than 25,000 solar panels on the roofs of five of its Belgian production sites. Together, these supply sufficient green energy for 1,400 families. This mega-project, which means that Vassen Industries has become one of the top 5 solar energy product in one move forward, would not have been possible without the required content and technical guarantees. The Encon engineering consultancy was responsible for these. 

Encon realises an exceptional relighting-project at Brussels Airlines.

The Maintenance Department of the airline Brussels Airlines awarded Encon the contract to realise a relighting project in the hangar in which aeroplanes are repaired and serviced. Because it must be possible to house several aeroplanes simultaneously, including long-haul aircraft, this relates to a very large building. It was an unusual project in many respects: a working height of almost 30 metres needs installers without a fear of heights. And with passenger aeroplanes in the immediate environment, it was also important to work very carefully and special safety measures applied. However, the scale of the project also strongly highlights the benefits of good relighting.

Encon has drawn up lighting standard for all Ikea establishments worldwide.

The lighting plan that Encon initially drew up for Ikea Genk has now grown into the new lighting standard for all stores of the Swedish concern around the world. In Genk the investment in a new lighting installation paid for itself in less than a year.

More light at Black & Decker with one third of the former energy consumption

The lighting bill in the Black & Decker European distribution centre was 86,000 Euros per year up until recently. Following a walkthrough inspection by Encon, the figure is now barely 28,000 Euros.

Encon’s costs were repaid immediately, apart from the other advantages.

A company that hires out storage and distribution space has a substantial roof surface area. The people at WDP in Wolvertem thought that this would be ideal for fitting photovoltaic solar panels. ‘These are interesting not only for our company but also for our tenants’. 

Our production speed rose by forty percent while our energy cost halved.

Floor elements have been manufactured at Echo since 1954. The company called on Encon to optimise its production process. Its know-how was also used for the construction of new production lines. 

We chose Encon because we knew that the engineering team has extensive expertise.

Bombardier Transportation uses compressors for the production and maintenance of its trains. These urgently required replacement. Encon assisted the company with customised engineering. 

Thanks to Encon we have realized a saving on the consumption of the lighting.

Staples is the world's biggest distributor of office furniture. In it's imposing warehouse in Tongeren 70% is now saved on the lighting bill thanks to the 'relighting'-project. An expensive energy audit  was not carried out here.
